Vision to Action joint meeting

A joint meeting of all Vision to Action committees will be Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Webster County Development Council office at the Eupora Depot. Dr. Jack Russell of the Appalachian Regional Commission will be here to discuss the implementation of plans and progress of each of the committees.

Daniel Temple services

Daniel Temple Church of God in Derma will have services at 7 nightly Jan. 26-31 and at 3 p.m. Feb. 1. The Rev. Glenda Mays, accompanied by the Gibson Street Church of God in Eupora, will speak Tuesday night.

Board of Aldermen

The Eupora Board of Aldermen will have a special called meeting at 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at City Hall. Agenda items include a property hearing. The meeting date was changed from Jan. 20.

Food, Shelter Board

Emergency Food and Shelter Local Board No. 524600 will meet in the boardroom of the Webster County Courthouse at Walthall at 8 a.m. Jan. 30.

ServSafe classes

The Webster County Extension Service will be offering ServSafe classes at the Extension Office Feb. 3-4. The cost for the class is $125. Call Cynthia Wilson at 238-3971 for more information.

Singing at Adaton UM

The Sullivan Family and the Backporch Pickers will be singing at Adaton United Methodist Church in the Adaton community on Highway 82 west of Starkville on Feb. 5, a Thursday evening, at 7 p.m.

The Sullivan Family of St. Stephens, Ala., will be singing at New Zion Baptist Church on Feb. 6, a Friday evening, at 7 p.m. The church is four miles west of Ackerman on South Union Road.

CPR, first aid class

Grenada Lake Medical Center will offer a Heartsaver CPR and First Aid class on Feb. 7 beginning at 8 a.m. The cost of CPR instruction is $25 and first aid instruction is $20. Preregistration and a $10 deposit is required. For more information or to register, call 227-7197.

Energy savings workshop

Engineer Donald Thompson of the Mississippi Development Authority-Energy Division will show business owners how to reduce energy costs in their businesses at a Feb. 10 workshop.
