Eupora High School graduate Quenton Pryor has signed a national letter-of-intent to play basketball at Morehead State University in Kentucky.

The 6-4, 180-pound guard earned all-division and all-region honors at Jackson (Tenn.) State Community College for Coach Deron Hines. As a sophomore, he averaged 15.5 points and four rebounds for a team that finished 25-6 and was nationally ranked among junior colleges. Pryor was a standout prepster at EHS, which he graduated from in 2002.

"Quenton brings us athletic ability and a scoring threat from the wing spot that we lost with the departure of Ricky (Minard) and Chez (Marks)," said Eagle Head Coach Kyle Macy of Morehead. "Coming from a quality junior college program, he will also give us added maturity."

Pryor is the son of Bonnie Pryor of Southaven and Huey Yates of Detroit. He inked with Morehead on April 14.

The Eagles finished 16-13 in 2003-04 and ranked third in the Ohio Valley Conference. The 2002-03 squad finished 20-9 and shared the OVC Championship.
