The Webster County Christmas Market in downtown Eupora was a resounding success, according to Market Director Stephanie Stewart.
Friday and Saturday's indoor marketplace featured 20 artists and vendors set up in the old Childs Grocery building, the renovated TWL building at 120 N. Dunn and the Depot. Stewart said nearly all of the vendors reported good sales. Also, at least 90 horse-drawn carriage tours of the city's historic residential district were reported to have been provided on Saturday.
The Miss Merry Christmas Pageant at Eupora High School on Friday and the Eupora Christmas Parade on Saturday were also part of the festivities. The Progress-Times will publish pageant photos in an upcoming issue.
Sponsored by the Webster County Development Council's Community Development Committee, proceeds went to Eupora Arts Inc. and the Webster County Mass Choir (See Letter to the Editor, 4A).
Eupora Arts, as another fund-raiser, will be presenting "The Nutcracker" this Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the BLY Fine Arts Center.
