William Porter Griffith, 78, died Dec. 28, 2004, at his residence in Germantown, Tenn.
Mr. Griffith, a retired chemical engineer, was born in Choctaw County on May 5, 1926. He was a former resident of Ackerman but had moved to Germantown a few years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Katrina Griffith of Germantown; a son, John Griffith of Atlanta; a daughter, Tina Griffith of Germantown; and two grandchildren.
Services were Dec. 29 at Coleman Funeral Chapel in Ackerman with burial in Enon Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Irvin officiated.
Memorials may be made to Ackerman Baptist Church.
