EHS Class of 1975 plans reunion
The Class of 1975 from Eupora High School is planning its 30-year reunion and needs help in obtaining addresses of classmates.

Free income
tax service
A free income tax service is being offered for individuals and families with annual wages less than $32,000 and with less than $1,000 in interest/dividend income. Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit and Child Care Credit (if applicable) will be filed electronically, free of charge, with completed income tax forms 1040, 1040A and 1040 EZ for speedier returns.
This service (authorized by the IRS) will be offered at the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site located in St. John Catholic Church in Eupora - 201 W. Roane Ave. next to Ja-Mac/Texaco. The preparers are trained and certified by the IRS. All information given will be treated with strict confidence. No records will be kept after the tax-preparing season is over.
Remaining dates and times for the service are Thursday nights, 4 to 8 p.m., Feb. 10, 17, 24 and March 3; and Saturday mornings, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 19, 26 and March 5.

CONTACT Helpline
training class
The winter training class for new volunteers for CONTACT Helpline will be held for three Saturdays in February beginning Feb. 12. The classes will meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1001 Main St. in Columbus. For further information or to register for the class phone 327-2968.
Softball, baseball
'Super Saturday'
Eupora High School will have a softball and baseball "Super Saturday" on Feb. 12.
It will include a softball game between Eupora girls and Eupora alumni at 3 p.m. Eupora boys baseball will play an intersquad match-up at 6 p.m. Food and drinks will be available.
Benefit for
Ashley Black
A benefit for Ashley Black will be Feb. 12 at Sherwood Community Center, Mathiston. from 4 p.m. until.
Hamburger and hot dog plates will be available along with cakewalks and other activities.

Bake sale
North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora Auxiliary will have a bake sale on Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. until all items are sold.
Breakfast foods, pies, cakes, cookies and more will be available. Proceeds go the auxiliary.
Valentine's dance
Grab your sweetheart and come on out for some fun and dancing Feb. 12 at 8:30 p.m. at VFW Post 3806 in Eupora. Roses will be available during the Valentine's dance, which will follow bingo at 6 p.m.
Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library will meet Feb. 14 at noon at the Webster County Public Library.
George and Jackie Helmick are in charge of the program. Everyone may come and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship.
Diabetes management
The Two-Day Comprehensive Diabetes Self-Management Program at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora will be offered Feb. 16-17 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. both days. Participants learn such diabetes management skills as meal planning, blood sugar monitoring and foot self-examination.
The class is partially covered by Medicare, most private insurance companies and the NMMC Diabetes Assistance Fund. Physician referral is required for this program.

Lady Forest
Landowner Course
The Mississippi State University Extension Service will offer a Lady Forest Landowner Course on Feb. 24 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Levy Hall of The Wood Institute in Mathiston
Supper will be provided through the generosity of Bowater, Farm Bureau, State Farm Insurance and Weyerhaeuser. Registration is necessary. Call 258-3971 to sign up.
Summer umpire
forms available
The city of Eupora is taking umpire applications through March 1 for the summer softball and baseball season.
Applications may be picked up at Eupora City Hall, 102 E. Clark Ave., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Umpires will be expected to attend city-provided training.
Summer park
program signup
Registrations for the Eupora summer park program (baseball, softball, buddyball and T-ball) are being accepted for ages 4-17 at City Hall from through March 4.
Fees for T-ball and buddyball are $25 for the first child and $20 for each additional child in the same household/family. Registration fees for children coach pitch and older are $35 for the first child and $30 for each additional child in the same household/family.
An additional $10 per child will be charged if registering past the deadline. No registration will take place after the teams have been drafted.
Registration forms may be picked up and returned to Eupora City Hall, 102 E. Clark Ave., Eupora, MS 39744.
