Charlie Hays
Charlie Hays, 76, of Walthall died Jan. 8, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Mr. Hays was born May 18, 1929, in Webster County. He was a retired employee of Babcock and Wilcox and a cattleman, a member of Walthall Baptist Church and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Tindall of Eupora; three sons, Jimmy Mitchell of Eupora, Dale Hays of Calhoun City and Joe Hays of Walthall; two sisters, Sylvia Jackson of Sturgis and Gale Rhoden of Eupora; a brother, Jim Hays of Starkville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Dell Hays.
Services were Jan. 10 at Walthall Baptist Church with burial in Webster Memorial Gardens. The Rev. William S. Weddle officiated.
Pallbearers were Dale Hays, Joe Hays, Matt Hays, Jimmy Mitchell, Joe Allen Mitchell, Ken Mitchell, Timothy A. Tindall and Tye Tindall.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
