Eupora High School's baseball team is in the first-round state playoffs beginning today.

Class 2A Eupora, which placed second in the division after ending the regular season 15-4, plays Riverside at 4 p.m. today at host Hollandale Simmons in the double-elimination 1A-4A playoff.

If the Eagles win, they will play again at 11 a.m. Friday. If they lose, they are to play at 1:30 p.m. Friday

Hollandale Simmons is playing Mantachie in Game 2 today. Three games are to be played Friday, with Games 6 and 7 to be played Saturday if necessary. The playoff winner will advance.

In previous action, Eupora defeated three teams last week. The Eagles beat Calhoun City 14-1 on April 10, French Camp 10-0 on April 13 and Houlka 14-0 on Friday, which was the final game of the regular season.
