Sheriff in good condition after heart attack

Sheriff Reuben McCluskey was to undergo surgery Tuesday after suffering a heart attack.

Jail Administrator Jerry Clark of the Webster County Sheriff's Department said McCluskey became sick Thursday and went to Eupora Medical Clinic. He was then taken by ambulance to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Clark said it was his understanding that the sheriff suffered a light heart attack and was to undergo surgery on Tuesday. McCluskey was listed in good condition Monday at NMMC.

McCluskey, who has had heart surgery previously, is in his second term as sheriff.
