Christmas Market Festival

About 40 vendors offered a wide variety of gift items during Saturday's Christmas Market Festival in downtown Eupora. The Webster County Development Council sponsored the festival. Customers peruse the offerings in the Depot. See more pics in next week's edition (See Miss Merry Christmas Pageant pictures in next week's edition).

Eupora Christmas Parade

"An Old-Fashioned Christmas" was the theme of Saturday's Eupora Christmas Parade sponsored by the Rotary Club. Local ministers served as grand marshals. Winners were North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora, first place; Webster Care Learning Center, second place; and Walthall Baptist Church puppet ministry and State Farm Insurance, third-place tie.

Cousins Anna Williamson and Alex McCall are decked out appropriately as they await the beginning of Saturday's Eupora Christmas Parade. Anna is the daughter of Mitchell and Christina Williamson, and Alex is the son of Rex and Chyrise Nicole McCall. They are the grandchildren of Larry and Debbie Lyda, all of Eupora. Anna is also the granddaughter of Robert and Debbie Williamson of Cumberland.

Mathiston Christmas Parade

"A Whimsical Christmas" was the theme of Saturday's Mathiston Christmas Parade sponsored by the Mathiston Beautification Committee. Winners were East Webster Elementary School, first place; Troop 287 Girl Scouts, second place; Judy Thompson's pony cart, third place; and Robert Burdine's antique tractors, honorable mention.
