Group meeting

The Diabetes Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora. Registered dietitian Connie Black will talk about diabetes nutrition.

WCDC meeting

The annual business meeting of the Webster County Development Council will be Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Eupora Depot.

Holmes schedules

spring registration

Holmes Community College will have registration for evening classes taught in Webster County on Jan. 11 from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Webster County Career and Technology Center in Eupora. Classes begin on Jan. 17.

English Composition II and Human Growth and Development will be taught on Monday (these classes begin on Jan. 22 because of the holiday on Jan. 15); College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra and Beginning Algebra on Wednesday; Western Civilization I, Music Appreciation and Microcomputer Applications on Thursday.

Band Boosters

meeting rescheduled

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Eupora Band Booster for Jan. 4 has been rescheduled for Jan. 11.

The meeting time (7 p.m.) and location (EHS Band Hall) remain the same.

Blood drives

United Blood Services will conduct two upcoming blood drives in Eupora.

The bloodmobile will be parked at Movie Gallery, 317 E. Roane Ave., on Jan. 13 from 2-7 p.m. Call 258-4344 for more information. Another blood drive is scheduled for Jan. 30 from 8 a.m.-noon at Hawkeye Glove in Eupora. Call Charles at 258-3200 for more information.

Donors must be at least 17, weigh 110 ponds and be in good health. Most medications are acceptable, but people should bring a list of their medications when they come to donate.

The Webster County School Board will have only one meeting in January.

The meeting will be Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in the boardroom of the Central Office Building.

Lipizzaner stallions

The world-famous Lipizzaner stallions will present their 37th anniversary presentation of the "Dancing White Stallions" on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville.
