East Webster's Banks dodges defenders in a game against Okolona earlier this season.

The Webster Progress-Times

Coming off an open week, East Webster will host West Lowndes this Friday night.

This week will be the last game of the Wolverines' regular season before heading to the playoffs. They will be joined by Okolona, Calhoun City and either Vardaman or West Lowndes, who are battling for the final place in the division. East Webster has already defeated Okolona, Calhoun City and Vardaman.

The Wolverines have already clinched first place in the region after a shutout win over East Oktibbeha (2-7) two weeks ago.

Led by quarterback Johnthan Banks, East Webster (9-0) has completely dominated every opponent this season both defensively and offensively.

Coach Jimmy Carden's squad will battle the West Lowndes Panthers, who defeated East Oktibbeha 14-7 at home Friday. Following the Panthers' win last week, they are now tied for fourth place in the district with Vardaman to claim a spot in the playoffs.

While West Lowndes (6-4) will be playoff-minded going into Friday's match up, the rested Wolverines will try to complete a perfect regular season.

Come support your winning Wolverines!
