A traffic stop Friday led to arrests of three Webster Countians on felony drug charges.

Deputy Sheriff Bill Denley pulled over the vehicle involved on U.S. 82 just east of Sapa Road because it had no license plate.

He said he searched the car after noticing that the rear passenger had an open container of alcohol. During his search, Denley said he found 10 separate bags of marijuana amounting to 64 grams.

That passenger, identified as Terry Hughes, 25, also had a pipe with cocaine residue, according to Denley.

These charges were filed against the three in the car:

€ Hughes: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of powder cocaine and possession of alcohol in a dry county.

€ Buddy Foster, 20: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

€ Tyler White, 18: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

They were being held in lieu of $25,000 bonds as of Monday. Denley said the vehicle, which was driven by Foster, was towed from the scene.
