The Mississippi State Extension Service is offering the Quick Bites program through interactive video from noon-1 p.m. each Thursday in July at the Webster County Extension Office.

July 24 - Tai Chi: Learn about the ancient martial art form tai chi and all its benefits with Maci Flautt, Extension area health agent. You will learn a little bit about its history, the four different styles of tai chi, the benefits it has over a regular exercise program and how you can get started.

Weight Watchers

A country music jubilee will be July 26 at 6 p.m. at the Gore Springs Community Center.
Big River Country, the Tempos, Mitchell Johnson and Jaine will perform. Admission is $5.
Gospel singing
A gospel singing will be July 26 at 7 p.m. at the Sherwood Community Center.

Wright reunion
The 38th annual Wiley Wright and Mariah Cartledge Wright reunion will be July 27 at the VFW building 1 mile east of Eupora off Highway 82.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. A covered-dish (potluck) luncheon will be served at noon. All descendents are welcome to attend.
Avery-Lankford reunion
The annual Avery-Lankford reunion will be July 27 at the Duck Hill community house.
All relatives and friends are invited to attend. A potluck dinner will be served at noon.

East Webster High School will issue student schedules on July 29 and July 30.
Students in grades 9-10 can pick up their schedules on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon. Students in grades 11-12 can pick up their schedules on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon. Schedules for students in grades 7-8 will be mailed.

A Eupora High School class of 1998 and 1999 ten-year reunion is being planned for October. Class members' addresses are needed.

USSSA team tryouts
A 12-and-under USSSA travel baseball team is holding tryouts for the upcoming fall and spring seasons.

Benefit softball
tournament for Rico
Eupora First United Methodist Church is hosting a benefit softball tournament for Kinsey Rico.
Kinsey broke her leg playing in a church league softball tournament and had to have surgery. All proceeds will go toward her medical expenses.
The co-ed church league tourney will be Aug. 2 at the Mathiston Sportsplex starting at 8 a.m. Plenty of concessions will be available and all donations will be accepted. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place. Deadline for teem registration ($125/team) is July 31.

Benefit for Keith
Strawbridge upcoming
A benefit for Keith Strawbridge, who has lung cancer and is a heart patient, will be Aug. 2 at the Stewart Fire Department beginning at 10 a.m.
The benefit will include an auction, cakewalk, facepainting, inflatables for children, and hamburger and hot dog plates. Organizers ask the public to come and join in on supporting this family in their time of need.
