Blood drives

United Blood Services will conduct two upcoming blood drives in Eupora.

The UBS bloodmobile will be at Movie Gallery on Dec. 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Another blood drive will be Dec. 29 from 2-6 p.m. in the North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora Education Room.

No bingo Saturday

Joe H. Morehead VFW Post 3806 will not have bingo on Dec. 27. Bingo will resume Jan. 3 at 6 p.m.

Longview Opry

Enjoy music, food and fun at the Longview Opry on Highway 12 in Longview Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. Talent is welcome; admission is free.

New Year's dance

Joe H. Morehead VFW Post 3806 will be having a New Year's Dance on Dec. 31 starting at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Featured band will be Bobby Davis and Co.

All proceeds from the dance will go to the VFW Operation Uplink program, which provides phone cards for troops.

Diabetes Support

Group to meet

The Diabetes Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 6 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

The Diabetes Support Group meets the first Tuesday of each month in the hospital's Education Room, 70 Medical Plaza. For more information, call diabetes clinician Liz Orr, RN, at 258-6221.

Webster Writers

Group

The next meeting of the Webster Writers Group will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 17 at the BLY Fine Arts Center in downtown Eupora.

The group is part of the Literary Committee of Eupora Arts Inc.

Gospel singing

A New Year's Eve Southern gospel singing will be Dec. 31 from 7:30 p.m. until midnight at the Longview Community Center between Ackerman and Starkville.

Bring a potluck supper and enjoy food, fellowship and good Southern gospel music from Brenda Whitlock of Okolona, Revelations of Pontotoc, Scott Gregory of Louisville, Stubborn Love of Laurel and others.

Admission is free but a love offering will be received for the groups singing. Call Angie at 418-6454 for directions or more information.
