The Webster County Development Council's annual Recognition Banquet will celebrate the accomplishments of various award recipients.
Slated for April 14 at 7 p.m., the banquet will be in the Family Life Center of Eupora First Baptist Church.
This year's Big and Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, the Community Economic Development Award recipient, Outstanding Teachers, Community Service Award recipient, Young Farmer and Conservationist of the Year, Healthcare Professional of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement recipient will be recognized.
Jimmy Allen, general manager for technical services with the Tennessee Valley Authority, will be the guest speaker. The Memphis native joined TVA in 1994, and previously held positions in marketing, account management and economic development.
In his current role, Allen oversees engineers and designers who provide a wide variety of services to expanding and relocating businesses as well as communities seeking to enhance their inventory of industrial sites.
Wednesday is the deadline for purchasing banquet tickets, which are on sale at the WCDC office for $20 each.
