Mobile WIN

Job Center

The Mobile WIN Job Center is rolling to Eupora on Aug. 19, announced the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.

The Mobile WIN Job Center will be located in the Garan parking lot at 501 Highway 9 S. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jobseekers may stop in and take advantage of the mobile center's computerized career information, which includes everything from creating resumes to searching for financial aid.

Webster County

Tea Party

The Webster County Tea Party will meet Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Eupora Community Center. This is a non-partisan organization.

All concerned citizens and voters (Republicans, Democrats, Independents) are welcome

Maben Library

Story Hour

Story Hour at the Maben Public Library is every Friday at 10 a.m. Come enjoy stories, music and other fun learning experiences for ages 3 to 6.

Play auditions

Auditions for "Lion and Mouse Stories" are Aug. 20 and 21 at the BLY Fine Arts Center in Eupora at 6:30 p.m. for ages 7-20. "No need to have anything prepared. We just need big smiles."

Bingo at VFW

Bingo will be 6 p.m. Saturday at VFW Post 3806 in Eupora.

Webster Writers

The Webster Writers will meet at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at the BLY Fine Arts Center in downtown Eupora. Participants will discuss their writing goals and discuss current projects. They will be focusing only on individual goals, not group projects at this time.

Writers are encouraged to bring individual work to read to the group. Writers of all genres and all writing levels are welcome to join the group. For more information, contact Gwen Sisson at sdnlife@bellsouth.net.

Storytime

Storytime at Webster County Library is Mondays at 10 a.m. Children 3-6 are invited to come for stories, songs and fun with Miss Pat and Miss Dot.

Wood College student transcripts are now being administered by Millsaps College in Jackson.

Former Wood College students can obtain information on how to request a transcript from the Millsaps College website at Millsaps.edu. They need to specify Wood College transcript on their request.
